Actually, as a friend of mine and I were discussing.
The term should be SELF ABSORBED, not
self centered.

Self absorbed to tune into what you need to do to stay on top.

Same goes with being totally broke,
you would become totally self absorbed if the grief and panic doesn’t get you first.

I like the roller coaster ride in between myself where you just hold on and scream!

I agree with you John... but then again is it such a bad thing to take care of your own needs???

Dr. Phil and all those TV shrinks have been crying themselves hoarse saying you need to take care of yourself before you can take good care of others...

So if that theory has to be believed, then a little self-absorption shouldnt really be a prob then shud it?

Thank god the scientific findings had interpreted it as ’self centered’ rather than ’self destructive’. With time everything changes and so I wont be surprised that finding is replaced by something else very soon. Till than we, as a human race, have to sulk our wounds(literally)...

Which also means that you have less time to gossip around and talk ill about others. so, being self centred isnt all that bad if you ask me! id be happy if everyone believed in minding their own freaking business!
